We just saw a fun and cute play called Tree Boy and the title character kept asking himself, “What would David Suzuki do?”  Well, David Suzuki is supporting the same initiative we’ve been supporting since this blog’s inception, the 350 project, and we want to shed a little light on it during this crucial week.

About two years ago, at a presentation at the American Geophysical Union annual meeting new data were introduced that should have convinced us all, if we weren’t already convinced, that climate change is real and we absolutely must do something about it.  We know we must lower the atmospheric concentration of carbon dioxide from its current level of 390ppm to at the most 350ppm.  This is the maximum level that Earth will be able to sustain so that plant and animal life continue to thrive.

Clearly, we’re not experts but read more about it here and here.  On October 24, people all over the world are participating in actions in support of a safe climate future.  See the new sidebar on this site to check what’s happening in your community.  Will we see you there?

  1. WWDSD?

It is a beautiful creed to live by.

I saw him speak here in Montréal with Al Gore back in Spring 2007. It was a phenomenal experience.

    Thanks for this post!
