Cruising with Karl
How fitting is this?
Karl Rove and a bunch of other Bush apologists are inviting you to spend up to $14,000 to come pollute the ocean and the air with them on a luxury cruise in the Mediterranean.
But it figures. According to the League of Conservation Voters (and other environmental organizations):
“The Bush administration has arguably been the most anti-environmental in our nation’s history. From weakening protections for clean air and water, national forests, and wildlife, to advancing destructive energy policies his administration showed an utter disregard for the environment and public health.”
As you know, the overwhelming majority of cruises are extremely bad for the environment. Not to mention, there’s little opportunity for cultural education, socially conscious tourism, and that pesky novo-virus thing.
But even worse than all that, do you really want to see Karl Rove and Dick Morris in speedos on the lido deck? We thought not.
