“Lavender Mixed with Green”

In the March 2009 edition of The Advocate, Adam H. Graham recounts his world-wide adventures at gay-friendly eco-tourism. Loved the whole article but the best part might be the title: Eco-Homo. Adam describes his travels ranging from a Galapagos cruise to an Alaskan camping trip (“Outward Bound for grown gay men”) to Inkaterra in Peru to an African safari.
Adam also gives readers information on several other possible trips, happily mentioning a favorite of ours: La Posada Jungle Bungalows. (We didn’t know this place was considered gay-friendly but we’re happy it is. Some of our best friends are gay!) Adam lists many gay-owned/operated lodgings and tours.
One of the best things about this article is that is exists. When magazines such as The Advocate and others that do not focus on travel start writing about ecotourism, we’re in good shape. Next article – gay-friendly socially conscious tourism?
